FAQ

How do I play Worm Coil?

Drag your finger anywhere on screen to steer your worm toward that direction. Eat the glowing food gems to grow longer. Cut off other worms — when their head hits your body, they die and drop a long line of food for you to gobble up. Use two-finger touch to boost (drains length, but lets you sprint past or in front of opponents).

Is this multiplayer?

No — every other worm in the arena is a bot. That's intentional. It means matches start instantly, you never lose to a connection drop, and the AI is tuned to feel like real opponents (some aggressive, some passive, some tricky). It's the same model Slither.io and Snake.io use on mobile, just upfront about it.

The arena keeps zooming out the longer I get. Can I disable that?

Not currently. The camera zoom-out is intentional — it keeps your whole worm and the surrounding threats visible as you grow. If a fixed camera mode is something you'd like, email me and I'll consider it for a future update.

How do I unlock more skins?

Most skins unlock with coins earned in matches. Daily logins also award coins on a 7-day cycle (50 → 100 → 150 → … → 1000 then repeats). Two premium skin packs (Galaxy Pack, Royal Pack) are $1.99 in-app purchases and include three exclusive skins each.

I bought a skin pack but it's not unlocking. Help?

Open Settings → Upgrades → Restore Purchases. This re-syncs your purchases with Apple. If that doesn't work, email me with your Apple ID region (e.g. "US") and the date of purchase and I'll look into it directly.

I bought "Remove Ads" but the game still feels the same. Did I waste money?

Remove Ads disables both the interstitial ads (every third death) and the rewarded-ad button on the death screen. If you weren't seeing many ads to begin with, you may not notice a big difference — that's a good sign. The purchase still applies and carries over to future updates that may add more ad placements.

What are the three map themes?

Void is the default — deep black with cyan and magenta worm trails. Sunset trades the void for warm amber and rose tones. Cyber leans into a neon-grid, vaporwave palette. All three are free; pick whichever vibe fits your mood.

What's the daily streak for?

Logging in each day awards coins on an escalating 7-day cycle (50, 100, 150, 250, 400, 700, 1000) then resets. Miss a day and your streak goes back to 50. There's also a Daily Devotion Game Center achievement for hitting a 7-day streak.

How do power-ups work?

Power-ups spawn randomly on the arena floor; just touch one with your head to pick it up.

Why no online multiplayer?

To keep the app fast, private, and zero-server. Real-time multiplayer would require running infrastructure, accounts, and matchmaking — all of which would also mean collecting your data. Bot-based matches feel close to multiplayer at the gameplay level, with none of those tradeoffs.

Will there be more content?

Yes. The roadmap currently includes more skin packs, additional map themes, new power-up types, and a higher-difficulty "extreme" mode. Email me with feature requests — I read every one.
