Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-22
FaithBloom is built on a single principle: your time in Scripture is yours. This policy explains what data FaithBloom handles and what it never does.
Data we collect
None on our servers. FaithBloom does not have servers. Everything you do in the app — what you read, what you highlight, what you bookmark, what you write in your journal, what you pray, what you choose to memorize, the fruits, flowers, and leaves in your Bloom Garden, your reading history — stays on your device.
No account, ever
FaithBloom does not require you to create an account, sign in, or share an email address. There is nothing to sign up for. We do not know who you are.
No cloud sync, no servers
FaithBloom does not sync your data anywhere — not to our servers, not to iCloud, not to a third party. Your highlights, journal entries, prayers, memorization cards, plan progress, and Bloom Garden live in a private database on this device and nowhere else. If you delete the app, that data goes with it.
No analytics, no third-party trackers
FaithBloom includes zero analytics SDKs, zero tracking pixels, zero advertising frameworks. We do not measure how often you open the app, what verses you read, or how long you stay on a screen. Even we don't know.
No internet required
All six translations and Strong's Concordance are bundled into the app on day one. FaithBloom does not make network requests during normal use. If your device is offline, the app behaves identically.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily verse notification, your device — not our servers — schedules it locally. Notifications are generated entirely on your device. We never send a push notification to you and would not be able to.
Audio playback
FaithBloom uses your device's built-in text-to-speech to read Scripture aloud. The text never leaves your device. Apple's TTS engine processes the text on-device.
Apple Watch and widgets
The Apple Watch app and the Home and Lock Screen widgets both run entirely on your device and show only the daily verse from the bundled rotation. No data is exchanged between your iPhone, your Watch, and our (nonexistent) servers.
In-app purchases (tip jar)
FaithBloom is fully functional and free forever with no features locked behind purchase. Settings contains an optional tip jar with three one-time consumable products (Coffee, Lunch, Founder) you can buy to support development. Tip purchases are processed by Apple's StoreKit — we never see your payment details, name, or Apple ID. A local-only counter of how many tips you've given is stored on your device for your own record. The tip jar unlocks nothing.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no sign-in.
- No tracking, no analytics, no SDKs that share data with third parties.
- No advertising, anywhere, ever.
- No selling, renting, or sharing your data.
- No cloud sync.
- No social feed, no friends, no community posts.
- No daily streak that pressures you. The Bloom Garden only grows; nothing in FaithBloom ever shrinks or shames an empty week.
Children
FaithBloom is suitable for all ages but is not specifically directed at children under 13. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Languages
FaithBloom ships in English and Spanish. On Spanish-language devices the app defaults to the Reina-Valera 1909 translation. No language preference is sent off-device.
